INGREDIENTS:

 

75 Grams BUTTER

50 Grams SOLAR CASTOR SUGAR

150 Grams SOLAR GOLDEN SYRUP

100 ML BOILING WATER

200 Grams PLAIN FLOUR (MAIDA)

½ TSP SOLAR BAKING POWDER

½ TSP SOLAR BAKING SODA

 

METHOD:

 

1. LINE THE CAKE TIN WITH BAKING PAPER. PREHEAT OVEN TO 160 DEGREES CELSIUS (350 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT).

2. PLACE FLOUR, SOLAR BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER IN A LARGE BOWL AND WHISK TO COMBINE.

3. PLACE THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS IN A MEDIUM SAUCEPAN, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY OVER GENTLE HEAT, UNTIL BUTTER AND SUGAR HAVE MELTED.

4. REMOVE FROM THE HEAT AND POUR OVER THE FLOUR MIXTURE WHISK TOGETHER UNTIL COMBINED AND THE BATTER IS SMOOTH.

5. POUR INTO THE PREPARED TIN AND COOK FOR 35-40 MINUTES. COOL IT DOWN AND ENJOY THE FRESH AND MOIST CAKE.
